2026-2027 School Year: Middle/High School Supplemental Special Education Teacher

We have an opening for a Middle/High School Supplemental Special Education Teacher at our IB campus for the upcoming school year.    

New employees are expected to attend New Teacher Orientation on August 13th & 14th, and the week of staff professional development beginning August 17th.  First day of school for students is August 24, 2026.

The Supplemental Special Education Teacher will lead a self-contained classroom serving students with significant learning and/or behavioral needs. The teacher will provide specialized instruction aligned to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), create a structured and supportive classroom environment, and collaborate with staff and families to support student growth. 

Among other things, the teacher will:

• Design and deliver specially designed instruction tailored to student needs
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Create a structured classroom environment that supports academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Collect, analyze, and report student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals
• Implement behavior plans and utilize positive behavior supports

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification:  Special Education PK-12 or 7-12
• Prior experience with International Baccalaureate MYP and/or DP programs a plus
• Prior experience in a self-contained classroom preferred
• Understanding and commitment to inclusive learning
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Strong research, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to positively interact with students to encourage development
• Experience with MS Office, Google
