This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
The individual must have or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).
Summary: Working under the direction of a certified teacher, provide support services in the classroom including:
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in providing modified instruction and/or previous experience serving in a separate class setting and providing specially designed instruction
- Flexible, energetic, positive attitude
- A student advocate; a good working relationship with parents
- Experience in a variety of special education settings is preferred, specifically self-contained environments that require assistance with physical needs (feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility), health care procedures, behavioral management, and support addressing social-emotional needs
- Ideal candidates are positive, energetic, active, patient, proficient in technology, engaging, and want to be active participants in the classroom and with our students.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of two years of college credit OR a high school diploma and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional assessment test is required. Experience working with teenagers is preferred.
