25-26 Primary School Special Education Paraprofessional

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

The individual must have or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). 

Qualifications: A minimum of two years of college credit OR a high school diploma and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional assessment test are required.  Experience working with young children is preferred.

Summary: Working under the direction of a certified teacher, provide support services to the classroom, including:

• Prepare instructional materials
• Instruct/supervise students
• Perform clerical tasks
• Experience in a variety of special education settings is preferred, specifically self-contained environments that require assistance with physical needs (feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility), health care procedures, behavioral management, and support addressing social-emotional needs.

Estimated Start Date: TBD - Please note that the salary will be prorated to reflect a start date after the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year, which officially began on July 25, 2025, for 190 workdays staff.
