Role Details: The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. This specific opportunity is for an intensive autism teacher in an elementary school. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

The contract pays $55- 58/ hour (local pay package) and $2,410/week (travel pay package) for 37.5student contact hours per week with a full benefits package. Before applying for the position, please ensure you are eligible to work in Colorado as a Special Education Teacher or already a licensed Special Education Teacher with the Colorado Department of Education. Pending licenses are accepted.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
