BCW Early Intervention Specialist

Under general supervision, provides technical assistance and training within a healthcare specialty. Plans, directs, and implements a specialty program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.

• Reviews and follows-up with Coordinators regarding APR reports bi-monthly to ensure APR timelines are met and reports status updates and progress to EIC on a monthly basis
• Trains and monitors the quality of service provision for all contracted BCW Early Intervention Specialists
• Assists in co-facilitating the Primary Service Provider meetings for all PSP Teams in the district and assists in entering payment for all PSP team meetings into BIBS database  
• Assists with monitoring, assessing, auditing, and evaluating all contracted BCW Early Intervention Specialists to determine compliance with state/federal guidelines and timeframes. Includes random quarterly review of progress notes for quality documentation
• Completes fiscal audits for all contracted Early Intervention Specialists once per year at minimum.
• Attend Health Fairs and Child Find events
• Assists in LICC meetings and planning events
• Perform clinical and/or developmental assessments of the behavioral health needs of the clients presenting for services 
• Provides case management services related to identified treatment needs
• Processes BCW reports and assists with contracts as well as assist the EIC with day-to-day operations.
• Attends required BCW trainings as needed
• Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences, and the like
• Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
• Carries a service coordination and/or special instruction case load as needed 
• Provides specialized instruction, supervise Early Intervention Assistants in performing their duties and consult with Early Interventionists based on review of Special Instruction program planning and implementation
• Provides technical assistance and advice to develop, implement, and improve programs related to specialty

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; or seven (7) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; (one) 1 year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 1 (HCP090) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require licensure.
