The Role: Building Coordinators (5 stipend positions): Building Coordinators work closely with the Director of Student Services to coordinate necessary student supports and collaborate with the school principal and staff to ensure that special education students receive the services they need. They facilitate monthly meetings with building special educators and meet with the Director of Student Services, other coordinators, and special education team members as needed. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to; reviewing policies and procedures with building colleagues; disseminating important district information; organizing and planning MCAS accommodations for students with IEP's in collaboration with administration and MCAS coordinators; providing guidance and support for new and ongoing special education initiatives.
