Ross Elementary School is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates to join our team as Special Education Teachers in the AIMS Program. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with disabilities, particularly those with needs related to the Autism spectrum.

Position Overview:
Teachers in the AIMS Program are responsible for designing and delivering individualized instruction that addresses the academic, behavioral, social, and life skills needs of each student. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of special education best practices and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement effective, individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and academic standards

  • Provide targeted instruction in behavioral, social, and life skills

  • Support the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities

  • Lead and direct assigned paraprofessionals to ensure consistent program delivery

  • Maintain compliance with all aspects of IEP implementation and documentation

  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to support student progress

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts teaching license in moderate or sever disabilities

  • Experience working with students with Autism and/or significant disabilities preferred

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all learners
