SUBJECT: SUPPORT STAFF FOR SMART START EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS

Contingent upon continued funding and program enrollment, the Smart Start Extended Day program is seeking support staff for the 2025-2026 school year, during vacation and summer days. The K-5 programs are located at the Angelo, Arnone, Baker, Brookfield, Davis, Downey, George, Gilmore, Hancock, Kennedy, and Raymond. This is a twelve-month program that may require working during school and summer vacations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Successful school-based experience working with children
2. Excellent communication skills
3. CPR/First Aid Certifications preferred
4. Previous experience working in the Smart Start Extended Day Program

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist students with successful completion of homework assignments
2.Plan and implement academic enrichment, recreation and project-based activities
3.Interact with students in a supportive manner to develop positive values and enhance self- esteem
4.Work as a team with other staff members and site coordinators to create a safe and enriching learning environment
5.Adhere to required EEC regulations for funded programs including a Background Record Check (every three years), an annual completion of EEC Essentials Training Modules, and submission of requested staff records to a confidential file in Human Resources
6.Other duties assigned by the site supervisors and the Coordinator of Smart Start Extended Day Programs
