    Early Childhood Paraprofessional (Part-time) - Delano Community Ed

    Delano Community Education is looking for a dedicated paraprofessional to join our team! This rewarding role is vital in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. As a Paraprofessional, you’ll play a key role in the mission to provide high-quality education for all students.     POSITION DETAILS:

     

     

    Location: Delano Community Education Center
    Hours: 3.75 hours/day on student contact days Monday-Friday; 8:00am - 11:45am
    Anticipated Start Date / Duration: as soon as possible
    Salary: $19.99 - $21.53/hour

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

     
    • Assisting teachers with lessons, instruction, and classroom organization.
    • Supporting students’ academic, emotional, behavioral, and/or functional needs individually or in groups.
    • Monitoring behavior and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.
    • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance student success.
    • Other duties as assigned to promote effective school operations and student support.
    QUALIFICATIONS 
    Required:
     
    • High school diploma or GED
    • One of the following:
      • 60 college credits
      • Associate degree or higher
      • Paraeducator Certification or complete district-provided Paraeducator training and assessment prior to start date
    • Experience working with youth and knowledge of teaching best practices is preferred
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
    • Patience, flexibility, reliability, and a passion for student success
    • Reliable transportation, consistent attendance, and successful completion of background check
