Early Childhood Coordinator

Requirements:
●Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution, Master’s degree preferred
●Maine Department of Education certifications in Special Education Teaching and Administration
●282, 282B and
●081 with 030, 035 or 045
●Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
●Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience or knowledge working with children three through five
●Knowledge of Maine Department of Education Chapter 101 and Chapter 124 Regulations
●Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Job Goal and Responsibilities:
●Assist Director of Special Services and Superintendent providing educational programming, instruction and services for Pre-K and Kindergarten students (ages 3 - 5)
●Collaborate with teachers, parents, community Pre-K partners in compliance with Chapter 124 through consultation and site visits and Child Development Services (CDS) to support transitions and ensure FAPE for students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten
●Coordinate the annual Pre-K and Kindergarten Screening
●Support Programs related to curriculum implementation, classroom management and regulatory compliance
●Observe, assess and monitor student behavior and educational environments
●Oversee IEP development by assisting staff with data collection and data-driven instructional decision-making
●Administer and facilitate IEP meetings and transition IEP meetings
●Plan Coordinate and deliver professional development for Pre-K staff to improve measurable student outcomes
●Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services and Superintendent
