About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for providing specialized instruction and support for children with disabilities ages Birth-3 years old and their families. Coordinate and conduct multidisciplinary team assessments of a child, the child’s family, and develop integrated goals and outcomes for the IFSP. Consult with parents, other service providers, and representatives of appropriate community agencies to ensure the effective provision of services. Start date: August 24, 2026 (plus new-to-district teacher orientation during the week prior to August 24, 2026)
FTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days (plus 2 or 3 days of new-to-district orientation, depending on the Department of Teaching & Learnings requirements for this position)
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching. Requires licensure from the State of Minnesota in Early Childhood Special Education; must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and lift up to 30 pounds.
Salary
Starting salary range = $48,292-$90,967. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract 2025-2027.
