    Salary: Salary placement on our classified salary schedule is dependent on the employee’s education and/or work experience. Non-licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of work experience and/or educational attainment up to a maximum of ten (10) years. Responsibility for verification of outside experience shall rest with the individual employee.   Click here for more information.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/:
    Required:
    •           High school diploma or GED equivalency
     
    Essential Functions and Characteristics:
     
    1. Administers, scores, and records such achievement and diagnostic tests as the teacher recommends for individual students.
    2. Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.  Consideration is given to individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
    3. Guides students independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher.
    4. Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with diverse parent and student populations.
    5. Checks student’s notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and makeup work, as assigned by the teacher.
    6. Assists with such large group activities as drill work, reading aloud, and story telling.
    7. Serves as an important source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
    8. Informs the regular teacher to any concerns or special information about any students.
    9. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
    10. Participates in in-service training as assigned.
    11. Follow instructions with minimal direction.
    12. Work in a team environment.
    13. Flexibility to work in different areas throughout the building
    14. Adapt to the individual needs of teachers and students
    15. Work in an atmosphere with several interruptions.
    16. Relate to students who may have behavioral, emotional, learning or physical disabilities.
    17. Ability to assist students in use of technology in the classroom.
    18. Willingness to maintain First Aid and CPR certifications
    19. Perform general clerical duties including recordkeeping and filing, as needed.
    20. Perform all other duties as assigned by the teacher.
