Salary: Salary placement on our classified salary schedule is dependent on the employee’s education and/or work experience. Non-licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of work experience and/or educational attainment up to a maximum of ten (10) years. Responsibility for verification of outside experience shall rest with the individual employee.

Essential Functions and Characteristics: - Supervise and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Cooperate with the school nurse to provide medical services including toileting.
- Administer informal assessments and progress monitor.
- Work with the student to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
- Guide students’ independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher.
- Check student’s notebooks, correct papers, and supervise testing and makeup work, as assigned by the teacher.
- Serve as an important source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in in-service training as assigned. (CPR, CPI, etc.)
- Work in a team environment.
- Adapt to the individual needs of teachers and students.
- Support students with cognitive/physical disabilities in multiple environments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the teacher/principal.
- Implement Individualized Education PLans (IEP’s) and Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Flexible and willingness to work in different areas throughout the buildings. (Elementary and Middle school).
