The Cheltenham School District announces the following contract professional employee teaching position is available beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

Position:  Special Education Teacher

Location:  District-wide

Requirements:

• Valid PA Instructional I or II Special Education Certification required;
• Additional certificate in Elementary Education(K-6, Reading Specialist) and Autisim Endorsement (preferred)
• Experienced teaching in a low-incidence of Autistic Support classroom (preferred)
• Experience supporting students with behavioral, academic, communication, and functional needs related to Autism (preferred)

Skills: 

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the various needs of students in the classroom
• Experience with behavior management and implementation of positive behavior support plans
• Understanding of applied behavior analysis (preferred)
