The Harvard Public Schools welcomes applications for a Special Education Teacher Long Term Substitute at Hildreth Elementary School.

Responsibilities:
-Plan and prepare a program of study to meet the needs and interests of the students
-Establish and communicate clear learning objectives
-Develop age-appropriate instructional strategies to achieve the curriculum goals
-Assess and evaluate student's performance on a regular basis
-Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is age-appropriate
-Set and maintain acceptable standards of classroom behavior to establish an orderly learning environment
-IEP development, review, and data collection.
-Within mainstream or in a pullout setting, provide teamed, small group or individualized instruction and/or academic support according to the general and specific goals outlined in students' individualized educational plans.
-Collaborate with service providers as indicated in student education plans.
-Oversee the assignment of Learning Assistants, if indicated by Principal or Special Education Administrator.
-Provide small group or individual instruction to special needs pupils as prescribed in their educational plans.
-Modify and adapt the curricula, materials, and physical environment to meet the needs of individual students.
-Experience with co-teaching preferred
