Triton Regional School District
Full-time
On-site
Massachusetts, United States
Triton Middle and High School is searching for a dynamic Special Education teacher to provide special education services to students in our Essentials Program. The Essentials Program is designed for students whose needs require a higher degree of support and/or modification to access the curriculum in the regular education classroom. Students have access to a substantially separate environment in order to promote success and participation in general education classes. A high level of academic and social emotional support is provided, which is dependent on students’ individual needs and abilities. Social and communication skills are embedded in the structure of the program.

The successful candidate will be adept at meeting the needs of and providing interventions for a wide variety of learners. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to work cooperatively with other educators to help provide services both in the classroom setting and academic support. Additionally, the Essentials Teachers also provide specific instruction to students in either English or Mathematics.

Triton is seeking an educator with a deep understanding of the strategies needed to fully support students with and without disabilities. It is incredibly important that the teacher be able to communicate effectively with general educators, students, and families. The successful candidate will be able to help students establish positive learning habits that will translate into other settings. This individual will need to always remain a caring and compassionate advocate for struggling students with the ability to establish a supportive learning environment.
