Employment Opportunity: Extended School Year Special Education
POSITION: K-6 Special Education Teacher (Multiple)
July 6, 2026-August 13, 2026 Monday-Thursday

Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Extended School Year Special Education Teachers.

The Special Education Teacher will provide instruction to students in Grades K-6 across a six-week period this summer. This collaborative role is working with a team of teachers and paraeducators to provide the needed support. The Special Educator is the main classroom teacher and will provide a morning meeting, reading, writing, and math instruction. The classroom consists of a small cohort of students with disabilities.

The position will be paid at the candidate’s per diem rate during the school year, or if an external candidate, at an assigned per diem rate based on experience and education.
Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender background and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred:
•Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license
•Knowledge of elementary student needs and programming
•Exhibits the core values of Shrewsbury Public Schools
•Works flexibly in a changing environment
