Full-time Special Education/Personal Care Paraprofessional - OMS

The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a full-time special education paraprofessional at Onalaska Middle School. Paraprofessionals in the School District of Onalaska are classified as one encompassing unit of employees and are an integral part of the school system's programs. Paraprofessionals are assigned by the building administrator to many assignments which may be different in each of the schools. Special education paraprofessionals will support students in general education and within special education programming as needed. In addition to the special education paraprofessional job role and responsibilities, personal care paraprofessionals are typically assigned to one student at a time and 85% or more of the daily responsibilities would be in caring for a student's physical, safety and behavioral needs.

Qualifications: A minimum of two years (48 credits) post high school education, or an associate degree preferred. If two years post high school is not achieved, applicants must have passed ParaPro Assessment or designated WorkKeys Assessments prior to employment.

Personal Care Hourly Wage: $22.63
