Full Time Special Education Teacher at Kingswood Academy, Governor Wentworth Regional School District's alternative high school program.
The Governor Wentworth Regional School District is seeking a certified special education teacher for their alternative high school program, Kingswood Academy, for the 2026-27 school year. Under Kingswood Regional High School, students attending Kingswood Academy have chosen an alternative pathway to high school completion through the development of personalized learning plans, project-based learning, and competency mastery.
Required Skills:
-New Hampshire certification as Special Education Teacher. This position will include both specially designed instruction as well as case management responsibilities for students;
-Knowledge and experience with writing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as well as New Hampshire Special Education Information System (NHSEIS) data entry and New Hampshire Education Department compliance timelines;
-Knowledge of high leverage practices pertaining to providing specially designed instruction to eligible students, as well as progress monitoring their skills;
-Ability to facilitate IEP team meetings throughout the steps of the Special Education Process defined by the NH Standards and IDEA;
-Working knowledge of Special Education law and procedures.
