The PreK Paraprofessional supports the instructional and developmental needs of preschool-aged children in a classroom setting. This position may include providing personal care assistance, behavioral support, and/or general classroom support to ensure all students can access learning in a safe, nurturing environment. The paraprofessional works closely with the classroom teacher and other staff to implement individualized strategies and foster student independence, social-emotional growth, and readiness for kindergarten.
High school diploma or equivalent (Associateās degree or 60+ college credits preferred).
Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
Ability to lift, position, and assist students as needed.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting early childhood development.
Training or willingness to be trained in de-escalation techniques and personal care support.
