Position: Health Office Paraprofessional
Hours: 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: starting pay is $20.38 per hour
This position is part-time and based out of OH Anderson Elementary School. Salary and benefits are part of the Para Master Agreement.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be highly qualified.
Qualifications: - Previous healthcare experience preferred
- CPR and first aid certified or able to attend training
- LPN License preferred but not required
- Qualified candidates must enjoy working in an educational setting, helping students with individual healthcare needs, and working with others in a collaborative and caring environment
- Must be able to work independently and be flexible with daily work
- Must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive and private data
Duties: - Administers limited First Aid and emergency care for ill or injured students and staff. Follows the Districts emergency care plan
- Assists with illness screening and symptom tracking
- Enters student health records data as needed including immunizations, health concerns, emergency contact information, etc.
- Conducts routine health screenings and assist students with daily health needs
- Collects data and submits state health reports as needed
- Complies information with student accidents and assists with completing reports
