The bilingual paraprofessional will support the Summit K-12 intervention groups, providing targeted assistance to students to enhance their academic progress. This role includes assisting with LPAC (Language Proficiency Assessment Committee) meetings and related paperwork to ensure compliance and effective communication. The paraprofessional will also manage filing of student reports and provide language support to emergent bilingual students to foster their learning and engagement.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
Have met formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning*
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:
Some experience working with children
