Position: K-12 Paraprofessional
Location: Glen Lake Community Schools
Reports to: Building Principal
Pay Rate: Based on the Glen Lake Federation of Support Staff Contract
Start Date: August 25, 2025
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise students during unstructured times (e.g., recess, lunch, hallways)
2. Support classroom teachers according to a scheduled rotation
3. Participate in all required training and professional development
4. Communicate clearly with teachers and administrators
5. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner
6. Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
7. Assist with school events, field trips, and assemblies
8. Work with small student groups, following learning plans
9. Serve as a one-on-one aide for special education students when assigned
10. Meet preschool requirements (e.g., TB test, fingerprinting, training)
11. Provide occasional clerical support in the office
12. Assist with school setup and closeout at the beginning and end of the year
13. Be available for occasional evening and weekend responsibilities
14. Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
? High school diploma
? Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
? Knowledge of or willingness to learn restorative practices
? Student-centered and empathetic approach
? Adaptable to changing daily needs
? Training in CPI and behavioral crisis response (will be provided)
? CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (will be provided)
? Strong written and verbal communication
? Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
? Self-directed and detail-oriented
? Remains calm and composed in high-stress situations
? Comfortable working with students from Preschool through 12th grade
