Role Overview

 

The EC teacher will serve students in grades K–4, working closely with classroom teachers to deliver high-quality instruction tailored to individual student needs. The position involves both push-in and pull-out instruction and requires ongoing collaboration with staff and families.

 

You’ll assess students’ needs, adapt lessons, track progress, and lead the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You’ll be instrumental in ensuring every student receives the support they need to grow.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess students’ academic and functional skills
  • Modify lesson plans to meet individual learning goals
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Develop, revise, and implement IEPs
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers about student progress
  • Provide direct instruction through push-in and pull-out support
  • Collaborate closely with parents, staff, and service providers
  • Guide the work of an EC assistant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Successful classroom experience working with students receiving EC services
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to academic excellence and upholding high standards for all
