K-6th Grade Paraprofessional starting at 35,000 entry level

Job Title: Paraprofessional

Type: Full-Time | Annual Appointment
Reports to: Classroom Teacher (instructional) & Assistant Director (non-instructional)
Starting Salary: $35,000+ (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

Working under the direction of a classroom teacher for instructional support and an Assistant Director for school operations, the Paraprofessional plays a key role in reinforcing academic engagement, student behavior, and daily routines across the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support daily instruction and learning activities

• Promote and uphold school-wide expectations, routines, and behavioral standards

• Support students during both group and independent work to reinforce understanding

• Monitor student engagement and offer additional help where needed

• Review and grade assignments as directed by the teacher

• Guide students through tasks and help clarify academic content

• Assist with school operations and additional duties as assigned by the Leadership Team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to assess student needs and respond with effective support strategies

• Familiarity with school policies and state/federal education regulations

• Collaborative, team-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills

• Positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to student academic and behavioral success
