Position Overview

Danvers Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Elementary Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality academic instruction and support to students in grades K–5. This educator will deliver small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math both within the general education classroom and in specialized settings.

The ideal candidate is a flexible, student-centered professional who values inclusion and is passionate about helping all learners reach their full potential. The teacher will work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure that instruction, accommodations, and interventions are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Small-Group Instruction: Provide targeted academic instruction in reading, writing, and math specifically aligned with students’ IEP goals.
  • Service Delivery: Deliver specially designed instruction (SDI) in both inclusive and pull-out settings to support skill development and access to the general curriculum.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers to design and implement differentiated lessons and meaningful accommodations.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
