POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Half-Time Moderate Special Education Teacher with Structured Reading Certification
Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Long-Term Substitute Half-Time Moderate Special Education Teacher with certification in Wilson or Orton-Gillingham or both. This position is ideal for someone who can assess what reading interventions are needed and then provide the services. This position would begin as soon as possible and will last through the end of the school year, currently June 12, 2026.
We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom and have experience working in various models of special education (inclusion, co-taught, substantially separate).
Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender background and experiences are encouraged to apply.
The pay rate for this position is $280 per full day ($140 per half day) and is not eligible for benefits.

Preferred:
•Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a Moderate Special Education Teacher Grades 5-12, Structured Reading Certification in Wilson or Orton-Gillingham.
