LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TO COVER A LEAVE OF ABSENCE 1/5/26-2/13/26

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Special Education Teacher- Discovery Learning Centers

(Master’s level required, Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in required grade level)

• Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports

• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, including autism, and/or learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disability

• Modify curriculum to grade level entry points as needed, implement functional curricula

• Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions

• Consult with general education teachers and staff

• Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Thinking Curricula, and Zones of Regulation required

• Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills

• Vocational skills as applicable to the program

• Communication with families

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master’s level required
• Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in the required grade level
