Long-Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher - District Connections Program at Linden Street School
Successful candidates require strong skills to develop and implement effective and engaging academic and functional skill instruction for students with significant social/emotional/behavioral challenges in a self-contained setting. Experience for collaboration with school staff, parents and community-based service providers as well as expertise in diagnostic assessment and data analysis for all areas of academic and functional performance. Special Education Connecticut Educator certification is required. $150.00 per day for the first 40 days and then placed on the appropriate step of the bargaining agreement.
Primary responsibilities include diagnostic assessments and planning, facilitating implementation and monitoring progress of targeted interventions to ensure access to the general education curriculum, IEP development and implementation with detailed data collection, differentiated and modified instruction, and behavior management.
