Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher

Freeport Middle School 

Freeport Middle School is seeking a long-term sub for the remainder of the current school year. This position will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities through both pull-out and push-in services. The long-term sub will deliver targeted academic instruction, support students' social-emotional development, and ensure access to the general education curriculum. Responsibilities include collaborating closely with general education and special education staff, lesson planning, monitoring student progress and maintaining ongoing communication with the case manager. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, advocating for student needs, and using evidence-based practices to promote academic achievement and positive social outcomes. 

Requirements: 

Must hold valid CHRC from the ME Dept. of Education. 

Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
