Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher

Job Overview:
Hanover Street Elementary School is seeking a substitute special education teacher to join our team of awesome educators. This teacher will work in our intensive needs program with several highly skilled paraeducators and another teacher.

Qualified candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a calm patient demeanor. Our students are part of the school community and collaboration with all school staff is essential.

This position is anticipated to last 50 days.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of elementary teaching experience preferred.
• NH Special Education Teaching Certification Required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education with a focus in elementary education is preferred.

Benefits:

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay:
Based on District’s Long Term Substitute rates.
