Position:                        Long-Term Substitute – Special Education Teacher (PK-4)

                                       Muddy Brook Regional Elementary School

 Requirements:              Bachelor’s Degree in the area of assignment.   Massachusetts Teaching Certification as a Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities (all levels) preferred. 

Qualifications:           Demonstrated expertise and experience working with students on the autism spectrum, students with developmental and cognitive disabilities, and medically complex students in grades PK-4.  Demonstrated ability to develop modified curriculum and lessons to develop academic, social/emotional/behavioral, independent living skills and independence.  Data collection and data-based progress monitoring is an essential skill.  Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.  Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed records and to ensure compliance with state and federal educational standards and regulations.  Other qualifications as established by the District.

Start Date/Work Scheduled:      January 5, 2026 to approximately April 6, 2026  

Salary:                           As per BHEA Unit C Contract
