Qualifications - 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.  
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments. 
• Preferred Math and/or English Certification (grades 6-8). 
• Knowledge of special needs of students in the assigned area.  
• Knowledge of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal-setting process and implementation.  
• Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs.  
• Effective communication skills.
• English as a Second Language (ESL) certification or ability to obtain certification.
