We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated 1:1 Paraprofessional to provide individualized behavioral and social-emotional support for a student with unique needs throughout the school day. This role is essential in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment that promotes the student’s academic, emotional, and behavioral growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to an assigned student throughout the school day, including classroom, transitions, lunch, recess, and specials.
Monitor and document the student’s behavior, emotional regulation, and social interactions, using school-approved tools and systems.
Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs), individualized education plans (IEPs), and/or 504 plans as directed.
Assist the student in developing coping strategies, self-regulation skills, and appropriate social behaviors.
Prompt and guide the student to stay on task, follow directions, and engage positively with peers and adults.
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, school counselors, and other support personnel.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development related to behavior management and social-emotional learning.
