This is a posting for a full-time, Paraprofessional- Academic Intervention Support serving grades 6-8 for Postlethwait Middle School. This grant-funded position is temporary for the 2025-2026 school year.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Academic Intervention Paraprofessional will support the improvement of student achievement in Literacy, English Language Arts (ELA), and Mathematics for students in grades 6-8. The paraprofessional will work directly with classroom teachers to provide flexible support through push-in assistance during instruction and pull-out targeted small-group intervention sessions. Intervention plans and materials will be designed by teachers, and the paraprofessional will be responsible for implementing them with fidelity.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who currently hold or are eligible for an Instructional Paraeducator Permit are encouraged to apply.
REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for the permit, you must meet one of the following criteria:

Hold an associate degree or have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited institution, with a grade of “C” or better in each course (final approval of accepted credits is determined by the Delaware Department of Education).
