Paraprofessional Behavior Resource Center |

QUALIFICATIONS: |
1. |
High school diploma or G.E.D. |
|
2. |
Associates degree related to education preferred |
|
3. |
Ability to implement and follow designed behavior intervention program |
|
|
Ability to form productive relationships with students |
|
4. |
Work history of good attendance, dependability, and punctuality |
|
5. |
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively without close supervision |
|
6. |
Ability to follow directions effectively |
|
7. |
Excellent organizational skills |
|
8. |
Demonstrated computer skills appropriate for the position |
|
9. |
Ability to pass the requisite assessment. |
|
|
Alternative to the above qualifications as the Governing Board finds appropriate and acceptable. |

JOB GOAL: |
To provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become life-long learners and responsible citizens by providing behavioral and instructional support in a self-contained alternative classroom. |
|
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. 1. |
Maintains and respects confidentiality of all information acquired. |
|
2. |
Oversees the Behavioral Resource Center (BRC) program. |
|
3. |
Prepares the BRC for daily activities. |
|
4. |
Obtains daily BRC roster of students, required assignments, and schedules. |
|
5. |
Provides students with their daily assignments from his/her individual teachers. |
|
6. |
Guides students in filling out intake forms and discusses behavior issues with them. |
|
7. |
Uses behavior intervention program curriculum to develop lesson plans based on the needs of the students on any given day. |
|
8. |
Monitors completion of all assignments. |
|
9. |
Maintains courteous and professional relationships with students, teachers, staff, parents, and treats all with respect. |
|
10. |
Supervises any student on-campus community service tasks. |
|
11. |
Attends required professional development programs. |
|
12. |
Performs all other duties as may be assigned for the benefit of school programs. |
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: |
School days and hours per year as designated in a one-year work agreement. Salary to be established with the Board. |

EVALUATION: |
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel. |
