Paraprofessional (Culturally and Linguistially Diverse) @ Fort Morgan High School

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Paraprofessional to join our team and provide support to students with language acquisition. Someone to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess a calm and patient demeanor, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to multilingual learners in core academic classes and small-group settings.
• Assist students with developing English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Reinforce language-development strategies as directed by CLD staff and classroom teachers.
• Support students in understanding classroom assignments, vocabulary, and academic content.
• Help implement individual learning plans, accommodations, and language-support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and support consistent instructional practices.
• Track student progress and communicate observations to CLD staff.
• Provide translation or interpretation support when appropriate and within job scope.
• Build positive relationships with students to support engagement and learning.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a structured, supportive environment.

• • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CLD coordinator or building administration.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Physical ability to lift and assist students as needed.
