The Millis Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to support elementary students with special needs in both inclusion and small group settings. The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individualized and small group support for elementary age students across general education and special education classrooms.
- Assist students with academic tasks, behavior regulation, organization, and social interaction.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and related service providers to implement accommodations and modifications.
- Support students during transitions between classes and activities throughout the school day.
- Reinforce positive behavior strategies and help implement students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies.
