Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Riverbend Elementary as a Paraprofessional on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will support teachers in providing a positive learning environment for students, assisting with educational activities, and ensuring the well-being of children in the classroom. This role is essential in fostering student engagement and promoting academic success.

Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing instructional activities and lesson plans.
- Support students with special needs by providing individualized attention and encouragement.
- Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to ensure a positive classroom environment.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student needs and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Must pass background checks as required by school district policies.
