Job Summary:
To assist in providing a well-organized, safe, and smoothly functioning Library Media Center.
Organizational Relationships:
The LMC/Tech paraprofessional receives guidance from the LMC teacher and reports to the building administration.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid State of Illinois professional educator license with teaching (preferred), substitute or paraprofessional endorsement.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
Salary & Benefits
Salary established by the Board of Education and PSRP agreement.
Hourly rate of pay for 2025-26 is $22.58. Paraprofessionals-LC work 8.5 hours per day (8.0 paid hours and 0.5 unpaid lunch). The work year includes 190 days plus 10 paid holidays for a total of 200 paid days (1,600 paid hours per year).
The Board will pay 100% of the premium cost of Employee Only HMO coverage and 90% of Employee Only PPO Coverage.
Beginning November 1, 2025, the Board will pay 60% of the premium for dependent coverage (Family, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Children).
