SAU 19 is pleased to be partnering with the National Collaborative for Digital Equity to offer the NH Registered Apprenticeship program. This program allows Paraprofessionals to work while earning their teacher certification at little to no cost. Please take a minute to watch this short video on the program and then see our website for additional information about this exciting opportunity (Welcome to SAU#19). Paraprofessional applicants interested in this program should indicate that interest on their cover letter when submitting their application. ~ Bartlett is a small school community with about 180 students in grades 1-4 located on Mast Road in the Pindardville section of Goffstown. Paraeducator duties may vary from day to day and include academic support, behavior support, communication support, and assisting students with self-care such as toileting. Paraeducators support students during lunch, recess, specials, and service times with special education and related service providers.
You may be assigned to one student or a group of students and work in different classrooms throughout the day. Paraeducators should be willing to learn and implement behavior plans for students who require them. You must be comfortable communicating using a "low and slow” approach when students are dysregulated, be able to remain calm in a crisis, and be physically able to keep up with students and keep them safe. New team members will be provided with training and professional development opportunities.
