Job Title: Student Services Paraprofessional

Location: Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver (ACAND) - Brighton, CO

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Dean of Student Services

Work Hours/Days: Full Time- school days typically from 7:15 am to 3:30 pm

Desired Start Date: August 1, 2025

Compensation: $20-25 hourly


Position Summary:

Are you passionate about classical education and supporting the student culture of a growing classical charter school?

We are looking for a full-time Student Services Paraprofessional who can support our Student Services Department by providing small-group and individual support to students with identified learning plans.

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven team player with the capacity to manage multiple projects and thrive in a dynamic environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our school.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with individual or small groups of students who are at-risk to provide educational
  • interventions and progress monitoring, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ALPs
  • Implement small group/individual intervention instruction, progress monitoring, and other
  • activities related to reading support
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information
  • Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses
  • Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Dean of Student Services or Headmaster
  • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance by adhering to assigned work hours, reporting on time, and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness to ensure minimal disruption to students, colleagues, and school operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • School experience preferred
  • Interact respectfully with students, teachers, and other staff
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population and staff
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with team members

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to traverse the classroom and the school
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer
  • Must be able to supervise outdoor duties
