We are recruiting part-time positions. Final schedules will be drawn up when candidates are offered a position. A successful candidate will work with students in grades K-8.
Salary & Benefits:
This position pays $16-18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligibility for retirement and health benefits is determined by the number of hours worked per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Continually supervise assigned students to ensure a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where students can thrive. Instructing them on appropriate behavior..
-Attend to students physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs including but not limited to assistive technology devices
-Supervise students during lunch or recess, as well as in between classes or on field trips
-Supports teachers in meeting the instructional, educational, behavioral, and social emotional needs of students with disabilities in the classroom
-Provides small group and/or individualized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with the students’ IEP and the supervising teacher’s lesson plans
-Collects instructional and behavioral data for all objectives being taught for each student
-Implements Behavior Intervention Plans for students with disabilities
-Engages in monthly training and professional learning opportunities in-person
-Works under the supervision and guidance of the Special Education Department and/or Behavior Intervention Specialist.
Is evaluated by the Exceptional Child Services Director
-Possesses strong collaboration skills, communicates proactively, and participates as a member of an innovative and creative team open to ideas that best meet the needs of students.
-Shares responsibility for accomplishing goals, attending faculty and committee meetings as required and/or needed.
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours
-Follow the Anser Employee Handbook and abide by the expectations set forth in
Qualifications:
-A minimum of two (2) years of postsecondary education is required.
-Experience working in special education is preferred but not required.
