Job Posting: Preschool Paraprofessional
The Viola School District is accepting applications for a Preschool Paraprofessional to serve in our Pre-K program. This individual will assist the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged children.
Qualifications:
A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associateās degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required.
If not currently credentialed, the candidate must be willing to obtain a CDA within two years of employment (training support provided by the district).
Must pass required background checks and meet all Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Child Care licensing requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young children, families, and staff.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily activities aligned with Arkansas Early Learning Standards.
Support individualized instruction and provide small-group or one-on-one assistance as needed.
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Assist with classroom management, transitions, meals, and toileting as required.
Help maintain accurate records, including attendance and developmental progress.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner.
Participate in required professional development and training sessions.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time, following the district calendar and preschool schedule.
Salary based on district pay scale and qualifications.
