Preschool Special Education Teacher

The Therapy Place is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to lead classroom instruction at Bridges School, a unique, therapy-integrated early education program for children with developmental delays and special needs.

What You'll Do

• Plan and lead daily instruction using individualized and group learning activities

• Create and implement classroom schedules, center rotations, and academic goals based on data and student needs

• Collaborate with speech, occupational, and physical therapists to support therapy goals in the classroom

• Supervise and mentor classroom aides and interns

• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to foster strong family partnerships

• Contribute to behavior plans, potty training plans, field trips, and school-wide events

• Lead parent meetings and support student transitions into their next educational setting

What We're Looking For

• Current South Carolina Teaching Certificate (Special Education preferred)

• Experience working with children with developmental delays or special needs

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

• Passion for individualized, inclusive learning

• Willingness to take initiative and lead by example
