We are hiring full-time, onsite Middle School Self-Contained Special Education Teachers. This position focuses on supporting students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs in a structured, nurturing classroom environment.
As part of the school’s specialized program, you’ll deliver individualized instruction, implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and integrate social-emotional learning into daily routines. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to build consistent supports that promote both academic and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, predictable, and supportive classroom culture.
- Implement and monitor BIPs and individualized learning plans.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and positive peer interactions.
- Partner with school staff and families to align strategies and track progress.
- Provide targeted instruction in academics, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.
Requirements
- Valid Minnesota teaching certificate.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs preferred.
