    The Briarcliff Manor SD is seeking an eager and highly qualified Elementary Special Education Teacher to oversee a successful end of the school year for one of our Grade 3 classes.  
     

    Position: Leave Replacement Special EducationTeacher (Grade 3)
    Appointment: Short Term Substitute Teacher
    Full Time: 1.0
    Location: Todd Elementary School, Grades K-5
    Approximate Effective Date: May 11, 2026 - June 26, 2026
    Minimum Certification Required: New York State Special Education 1-6
    Salary: $125 per day 

    Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate:  

    • Committed to creating a student-centered, technology-infused learning experience 
    • Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents
    • Willingness to engage students in project/problem-based learning activities using technology to enhance instruction
    • Knowledge and understanding of pedagogical skills/strategies and NYS Next Generation Learning Standards
    • Ability to promote digital literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and responsible decision-making skills that are necessary for student succes
    • Experience with incorporating social-emotional learning practices into classroom instruction
    • Experience teaching in elementary level classrooms
    • Exudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels
