Hours / Work Times
6.5 Hours Per Day (7:40 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. includes 30 minute unpaid lunch) Regular Days and Designated Full Wednesdays
4.5 Hours Per Day (7:40 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.) Wednesdays and Middle School Early-Release Days
190 days per year (180 student days/10 holidays)
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 06/18/25.

Upon hire, new paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and the Principal, the Special Education Paraeducator will assist in the supervision of student behavior and instructional activities, working closely with students on an individual, as well as small group basis.
*Washington State Core Competencies should be completed within three years of hire.
