The Individual Learning Program (ILP) 1:1 Paraprofessional provides direct support to a student requiring individualized assistance across educational settings. This position involves supporting the student’s participation in both inclusion and special education classrooms, assisting with personal care and mobility needs, and ensuring accessibility throughout the school day. The paraprofessional will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, and support staff to implement instructional and behavioral strategies that promote the student’s independence, engagement, and success.

DUTIES:
-Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social support under the direction of the classroom teacher and special education staff.
-Assist the student in accessing the general education curriculum and participating meaningfully in inclusion settings.
-Support the implementation of accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans as outlined in the student’s IEP.
-Provide personal care assistance, which may include toileting, feeding, dressing, and hygiene support as needed.
-Support the student’s mobility and accessibility needs, including the use of adaptive equipment or assistive technology.
-Monitor the student’s safety, emotional well-being, and engagement throughout the school day.
-Facilitate communication and interactions with peers and adults to foster social skills and inclusion.
-Collect data on student progress toward academic, behavioral, and functional goals.
-Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other service providers to ensure coordinated support.
-Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in accordance with school and district policies.
-Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or 48 credits attained or WorkKeys completed
Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be completed
Such alternative as are found to be appropriate

SALARY: Hourly per Unit D contract. (salary range:$17.67/hr - $22.96/hr)
