INFORMATION: The Lenox Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to work in a variety of settings. This position will focus primarily on providing one-to-one support for two specific students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the student in transitioning between activities and environments, ensuring safety at all times.
Coordinate with service providers in order to support the student with technology, and other assistive technology tools
Offer individualized assistance during instructional activities, helping the student engage with the curriculum and classroom tasks.
Participate in learning activities related to the student’s specific area of special needs
Collaborate with the classroom teacher and special education team to ensure the student’s needs are being met effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with students with visual impairments and mobility needs highly desirable
Previous experience working with students with unique needs especially in a school setting

HOURS: Approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
COMPENSATION: Per Unit C LEA Contract; APPENDIX A, SECTION 1: Hourly Rates
